Irish singer Hozier, who is best known for his song “Take Me To Church” has been gaining increased popularity over the years. Recently, followers have been awaiting the release of his new EP, Unheard. Though it only consists of four songs, “Too Sweet,” “Empire Now,” “Fare Well,” and “Wildflower and Barley,” it has proved to be something fans have been waiting for. This EP was released on March 22nd and it falls under the genre of Lossless.
After listening to this EP, I like the songs “Too Sweet” and “Wildflower and Barley.” Both of these songs give off separate vibes, which shows how Hozier makes music that could appeal to almost anyone. “Too Sweet” is about two people who are different in their ways. One person likes structure and the other likes to do things at their own pace. The song is upbeat and the chorus is catchy, making this song one of the most popular ones on the EP. On the other hand, “Wildflower and Barley” which features Allison Russel, is calm for the first two minutes and then it jumps to a moving chorus. This song is about longing, which is why it is less upbeat compared to “Too Sweet”.
Both of these songs and the rest of the EP should be checked out by anyone interested in Hozier or those who are looking for something new!
