ValleyScare is back from the dead this year after not returning the previous year. Last year, ValleyScare was replaced with a “safer” and more kid-oriented event. They decided to have an event for trick and treating instead of the usual scary mazes and shows, which are still available for kids this year. Now that ValleyScare has been revived, we see it is better than ever. According to a ValleyFair blog, ValleyScare will be “more intense than ever,” with six scary mazes, scare zones, spooky entertainment, and Halloween-themed food options.
For those interested in going, I interviewed Mira Panda (Grade 12) about her experience this year. She said that though she did not go last year, “it was really fun and a step out of my comfort zone.” The haunted houses and scare zones had “lots of gore and very convincing actors.” Based on that, those into frightening experiences would quite enjoy ValleyScare this year.
This year admission starts at $39.99 (online only), which allows you to enter the event at a discounted price compared to the gate price and you can access the different rides and attractions. For $54.99, you can get access to a single meal deal and admission to ValleyScare. At $60, you can purchase the “Fright & Fast Lane” pass, which grants you the ability to skip lines and enter attractions much quicker.
Mira says it is expensive, but that it is “definitely worth it if you like the thrill of being chased, laughed at, and screamed at by terrifying clowns, zombies, and more.” I would recommend buying tickets online to make sure you are not overspending and to beat the ticket lines. For the experience of rollercoasters, she stated that because it was so dark it made rides, like Renegade, terrifying.
For Halloween lovers, go out and experience the new thrill of ValleyScare this year with friends and family of all ages!
